Overview
Raevon WorkAssist Recorder is a Chrome extension that records audio from your browser tabs
and microphone during online meetings, then uploads those recordings to your personal
Raevon WorkAssist account for AI-powered analysis. This policy explains what data the
extension accesses, how it is used, and how it is protected.
Data We Access
- Tab audio: The extension captures audio from the browser tab you choose to record. This audio is used solely to create a recording of your meeting.
- Microphone audio: With your explicit permission, the extension also captures your microphone so your own voice is included in the recording.
- Authentication token: Your Raevon WorkAssist login token is read from your browser session and stored locally in
chrome.storage.local to authenticate uploads to your account.
- Active tab URL and title: The URL and title of the tab being recorded are used only to label the recording (e.g. the meeting name).
How Your Data Is Used
- Audio is streamed directly to your Raevon WorkAssist account on our servers. It is never sent to any third party.
- Recordings are stored under your account and processed only to generate insights and automate follow-up work for you.
- Your authentication token is used exclusively to authorise API requests to Raevon WorkAssist on your behalf.
- No audio, tokens, or personal data are ever sold, shared with advertisers, or used for any purpose other than providing the Raevon WorkAssist service.
Data Storage
- Local (your device): Your auth token is saved in
chrome.storage.local. Temporary audio chunks are held in memory during recording and discarded once uploaded.
- Remote (Raevon WorkAssist servers): Completed recordings and meeting analysis are stored in your Raevon WorkAssist account. You can delete them at any time from the Raevon WorkAssist dashboard.
Permissions Explained
- tabCapture: Required to capture audio from the meeting tab.
- microphone: Required to record your own voice during meetings. Requested at recording time — you can deny it and only tab audio will be recorded.
- storage: Used to persist your login token between browser sessions.
- cookies: Used to read your Raevon WorkAssist session cookie for seamless login — no cookie data is sent anywhere other than Raevon WorkAssist.
- tabs: Used to read the title and URL of the tab being recorded, and to detect when you are on a Google Meet call.
- offscreen: Required by Chrome to run audio capture in a background context.
- scripting: Used to inject an authentication helper into the Raevon WorkAssist web app tab so you stay logged in automatically.
Third-Party Services
Audio recordings are uploaded to Raevon WorkAssist servers hosted on Microsoft Azure (Central India region).
No audio or personal data is shared with any other third party.
Children's Privacy
Raevon WorkAssist Recorder is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect
data from children.
